Our Paper Stocks:

• 90gsm uncoated flyers - This is a standard weight paper. For reference a standard "home" copy paper is 75-80gsm and so this is similar to the quality of this type of paper. When printing double sided, we recommend selecting a thicker paper stock to prevent the other side 'showing through' - particularly if there is heavy ink coverage on either side
• 120gsm uncoated flyers - This is a good weight of paper and is uncoated for a more matt feel. This paper stock and upwards tends to stock 'show though' that can affect prints onto 80gsm, or 90gsm paper.
• 130gsm gloss/silk flyers - This weight of paper is very popular is the type that is used as standard by takeaway menus. This gives an idea of the quality and weight of this flyer
• 170gsm gloss/silk flyers - This weight of flyer is classed as a very heavyweight paper and gives a more quality feel over that of a 130gsm paper.

Folds

As standard, we offer ten different types of fold including;

• A single fold in half - this is a fold on the long edge of the flat piece of paper and will essentially create a 4 page booklet. So, an A3 flat flyer folded in half will create a 4 page A4 booklet (finished size of 210mm x 297mm).
• A roll fold - this is when the sheet is folded in such a way that the leaflet appears to 'roll out' when opened. It is available so that the A3 flat sheet has 3 panels on each side - so 6 panels in total (rolled to 1/3 (a third)). The finished size for a 1/3 A3 will therefore be 140mm x 297mm with each of the 6 panels measuring 140mm x 297mm, save for a millimetre or two to ensure that the fold works well - please see the downloadable template for further information.
• A 'Z' fold - also known as a 'concertina fold' . Similar to a roll fold, this type of folding technique allows each side of the flat sheet has either 3 panels - so 6 panels in total (folded to 1/3 (a third)). However, for a 'Z' fold, the pages open out in a concertina fashion instead of 'rolling' out. When viewed from the top, the paper will look like the letter 'Z' or a zig-zag. The finished size for a 1/3 A3 will therefore be 140mm x 297mm with each of the 6 panels measuring 140mm x 297mm, save for a millimetre or two to ensure that the fold works well - please see the downloadable template for further information.
• A gatefold - this is when the A3 sheet is folded to give the appearance of 'gates' on the front of the leaflet so that the user can open both sides to reveal the whole leaflet. A great choice for those wanting a more 'premium' feel. The finished size will be A4 (210mm x 297mm) which each of the gates measuring 105mm x 297mm.
• A double parallel fold - it sounds complex, but really it is just folded three times along the long edge to create an 8 panel leaflet with each panel measuring 105mm x 297mm, save for a millimetre or two to ensure that the fold works well - please see the downloadable template for further information.
• OTHER FOLDS - Our website choice only show our most popular fold choices due to listing restrictions. However, we can do many different fold types. Please see the attached image on this product page and contact us for a quote for a more specialist fold

Our paper folded leaflets are supplied as such - they will come folded when finished. Our thicker creased folded card leaflets are supplied flat however.

Lamination

We are able to laminate your folded leaflets - please visit our Folded and Laminated Leaflets product page. This gives an additional layer of protection to the folded leaflet and also they will ooze luxury. Lamination is not to be confused with 'encapsulation' which is when pages are encapsulated in a laminating pouch. The type of lamination used on folded leaflets is thin and will not have any border around the edge of the sheet. So, if you want A4 leaflets folded to A5, they will be A5 in size - not A5 with a little bit extra around them!

We offer two types of lamination:

• Matt lamination - a classic lamination that gives a high-end and professional finish
• Gloss lamination - a gloss finish to your flyers that really allows your colours to pop!

Artwork Service

Should you require us to design your folded leaflets for you, we are able to do this - just select the relevant option.

Please note that the turnaround time stated gives us three days to get the artwork complete and signed off. If the artwork is not signed off until after three days, this will delay your order beyond the stated turnaround time. We recommend that you provide us with any amendments and/or sign off as quickly as possibly so we can get your job into production as soon as possible.

Please note that we will design your artwork to your specification. You will need to provide us with any relevant logos, pictures, text that you want on your folded leaflets as well as any specific colour or design requirements. We find that we get the best result for everyone when we have a really good brief of what you want. Where information is not given, we will use some artistic license and use our best judgement.

Artwork Requirements

You can supply your own artwork using the artwork requirements below and the associated product templates or, alternatively, we can design them for you. Please see our Artwork Service page for representative costings.

Please Note

When creating any leaflet, please supply your artwork as a 2 page, double sided PDF. For example, on an A3 folded to A4, page 1 should display pages 4 & 1 of the leaflet and page 2 should display pages 2 & 3

Before submitting folded leaflet artwork, we recommend you print a mock up to check the artwork is positioned correctly.

When creating artwork with a landscape crease, please submit the front and back pages on the same page, with the front page orientation correct and the back page rotated 180 degrees. The inside pages should be on page 2 and rotated 180 degrees so that the orientation is correct on the final print. You can check the orientation is correct by printing a mock up before sending your artwork.
